4th of July

Last year, this is what Connor was doing on the 4th of July:

This year, he was definitely in on the action.

My brother-in-law, Jimmy, sister-in-law, Andie, niece, Sydney, and nephew, Alex drove 8 hours down from Hershey Pennsylvania to visit. It's becoming an annual adventure for them!

We spent a lot of time out at the pool...A LOT! The rest was spent playing outside and having water fights!

Andie and I got out to see Eclipse. I have to say, it was the best out of all of them so far. The acting still isn't the best, but Bella was not as awkward as she has been.

Anyhoo, Saturday night, after a feast of beer can chicken, corn, and salad, we headed to the White Water Center in Charlotte. Sydney and Alex went rock climbing, while the adults sipped beer, and Connor watched all the festivities. The fireworks were great too! Surprisingly, Connor did very well staying up late. He was not impressed by the fireworks though...
The 4th of July was definitely a "top 20" kind of day. Our community pool had a party from 10-3. After that, we cooked out on the grill at our house, decorated red, white, and blue cupcakes, and ended the night with camp sing-a-longs, smores and fireworks.

Happy Independence Day everybody!
