I see a theme here. And it's called, "time flies." I honestly can't believe that my last post was so long ago. I am so busy, that it is hard for me to even sit down long enough and think clearly to write. My mind is going in a thousand different directions these days, with summer plans needing to be scheduled, Connor's birthday coming up, Father's Day, friend time, couple's time,
etc, etc.
Anyhoo, Ellie is 8-months old. Remember in my last post (it was so long ago, you probably don't) when I said Ellie was content to just sit and play with no interest to crawl? Well, that's not so true anymore. She is going, going, and going! She crawls on her hands and knees unlike Connor did. He much preferred the army crawl. Ellie is also standing up on her toy box and getting into Connor's toys too (much to our dismay).
Ellie has also since gotten her first set of teeth! See em?
Connor, as always, is enjoying being a great big brother. He is relishing in the things big brothers can do, but baby sisters can't, like eat ice cream, stay up late(r) and play with certain toys. He truly loves her, and can be heard pretending to be mad at her, saying in a pretend-mad voice, " Ellie, I still love you, but I'm not playing with you anymore (pout face)."
Ellie squeals with delight when she sees her big brother. She basically jumps out my arms to get to him. He is the only one that can make her laugh sometimes. They wrestle, hug, and kiss. It's pretty awesome. He also does the sweetest, caring, and loving things with her. Like this:
He just randomly laid down with his lil' sis and began stroking her hair, saying things like, "Hi baby Ellie," and "sweet baby girl."
God, I love those kids. They sure are something special.
