Backtrack: Connor's 6th birthday and Ellie's broken nose...uh oh!

T'was the morning of Connor's 6th birthday party. Ellie and I ran out to get balloons, the awesome cake, and a few other errands. We returned home. As I was getting everything out of the car, our precious lil' Eliana walks right into Connor's golf club (ouch!). Long story short, there was a lot of blood, a lot of tears, a little gagging, and a broken nose. Alas, the party must go on. I brought Connor to his party, where he had  a great time with friends, then met Tom and Ellie in the emergency room to hear that she definitely had a broken nose. Poor baby girl. Connor felt terrible. Fast forward a week and we found out that she had to have it reset. She was put to sleep and the procedure took not even 10 minutes. She is one brave cookie, that one. She even left her splint on for a couple of days! Connor was sad that he hurt her, we felt bad or not realizing he had a golf club, but we all survived to tell the tale.

Happy 6th birthday to our kind hearted, smart, sweet, and super funny football loving guy. I am going to ball my eyes out when you no longer need these two friends (Wally and Blanky):
