Backtrack: Connor's 6th birthday and Ellie's broken nose...uh oh!

T'was the morning of Connor's 6th birthday party. Ellie and I ran out to get balloons, the awesome cake, and a few other errands. We returned home. As I was getting everything out of the car, our precious lil' Eliana walks right into Connor's golf club (ouch!). Long story short, there was a lot of blood, a lot of tears, a little gagging, and a broken nose. Alas, the party must go on. I brought Connor to his party, where he had  a great time with friends, then met Tom and Ellie in the emergency room to hear that she definitely had a broken nose. Poor baby girl. Connor felt terrible. Fast forward a week and we found out that she had to have it reset. She was put to sleep and the procedure took not even 10 minutes. She is one brave cookie, that one. She even left her splint on for a couple of days! Connor was sad that he hurt her, we felt bad or not realizing he had a golf club, but we all survived to tell the tale.

Happy 6th birthday to our kind hearted, smart, sweet, and super funny football loving guy. I am going to ball my eyes out when you no longer need these two friends (Wally and Blanky):

Father's Day 2015

These pictures make me so happy. I just love doing this project for Tom every year. It is so cool to see how much these little munchkins grow, and how their personalities start to take over. Their smiles change, their stature, and even the way they choose to hold their letter. Even Baby Boy made an appearance this year!

Happy Father's Day to you, Tommy.
"What a father gives a child is part of who he is and who they will become-- his love, wisdom, and example will shape them for a lifetime. We have to have our children's heart."
-Courageous the Movie

I truly could not ask for a better man to father our children. We love you always, with all of our hearts.

Hilton Head 2015

Hilton Head is one of our favorite places in South Carolina. It is a place we are trying to get to annually. Between the bike riding, awesome beaches, sandollars, dolphins, and great food, we have always enjoyed this trip for the past two years. It is a beach trip that is truly relaxing. even with kids. I guess it doesn't hurt that we have been smart enough to bring along a grandparent or two (My parents last year and Annie this year) so that Tom and I get a  night out once. ha!  The kids love the waves, digging in the sand, and all the activities we do LATE at night! We hope to be able to continue this traditin year after year.

Glowing Example

Our hearts are so happy. This morning was Connor's awards day at school. Although their were a few I was sure of that his name would be called, I was proud and honored when the teacher said something like this: "This little boy gets the 'Glowing Example' award. He is a shining example to all of his classmates. He is kind to others, always willing to help, and shows through his actions how to be a great person." I may have cried like an idiot. I'll blame it on the hormones. Proud doesn't even begin to describe the feelings we have. To know that Connor is seen by his teachers and peers this way just shoots happiness straight to our hearts. Xoxo big guy. Keep showing the world your greatness!

Music Girl

Somebody got new headphones. Somebody loves them. Somebody is just like her mommy! I think she could sit and listen to her music for hours, just like me! I swoon...
