Shaving is Serious Stuff

I absolutely LOVE these pictures. Not only is Connor doing something just like his Daddy, but his lil serious face is awesome. He was being so careful with his plastic razor and Superman shaving cream. Shaving is serious stuff. He is almost 5 after all!

St. Patrick's Day 2014

St. Patrick's Day started out with a Shamrock 4-miler with free beer at the finish line. I did that with my friends while Tom hung out with the kids. We then just kicked back and enjoyed the day as a family.

I love this picture. It epitomizes their sweet lil relationship. Ellie always looks up to Connor.
He is her big bro; her superhero.

Rainy Day Beauty

Man, there is just something so special and magical about this little girl of ours.

She is the light in my rainy day. The pink umbrella helps, too ;)

Trucks, SWAT, and Race Cars

These first few pictures are from when we were waiting for our family photo shoot (more on that later). But the others are from a Touch-a-Truck festival that we went to in Charlotte with our neighbor, Evan. It was really cool, and one of the best parts was when Ellie decided to get her face painted! Connor would never do that. He still won't.

Sports

This spring has been BUSY! And it all started with baseball opening day. Everyone was excited. It all snowballed after that (not literally, like in New England). Connor's swim class came to an end, and he passed to the next level! He then started t-ball two days a week, and soccer one day.  Ellie has been going to The Little Gym one day a week, and she loves it. She is a fearless one.

We received an email from Connor's soccer coach saying that he depends on him to get the ball moving in the right direction and that he's a good player. Isn't that great?

Tom is an assistant coach on Connor's team. It's really fun to watch the both of them on the field.

Amazing Relationship

I always knew that giving Connor a sibling would be the best gift possible. Having a second child was, in no doubt, a definite plan (God willing). As my pregnancy with Ellie developed and my body was overwhelmed with a 9.2 lb baby, so was my mind! I started having second thoughts; wondering how I could possibly love someone more than I did Connor. How could I do this to him? How can I take my attention away from my blue-eyed boy?  Just look and see...

Now, he has somebody to "put to work," and
Ellie has a boy to show her how she should be treated.
They each have a snuggle buddy,
there are always smiles to share,
 and secrets to tell.
They have experiences to live, and
 more snuggles.
Happiness, love, fun, gratitude, generosity, compassion, dedication, family...

The answer was so simple. There is room in the heart for everyone you love. No room becomes too small. They all fit just right.
