Tom and I attended our very first adult Gala on Saturday night. We got all dolled up and went with our friends to help benefit the Humane Society of Charlotte. The evening was amazing.
Our friend, David, is the Executive Director and his speech was truly great. He didn't even use notes!
The night was filled with good food, great drinks, and, of course, lots of dancing. I obviously hadn't been out much because I eventually did find my way on stage to play the tambourine with the band (of course I did, right?)!
Mimi babysat Connor, and Tom and I had a really fantastic night with everybody. We were so thrilled to be part of such a special night. After all, the Humane Society is where we got little Sox from.
