Connor's 7 Month Triumphs

Connor's 7th month has proved to be tremendous. Just yesterday, he fed himself cheerios and walked along the furniture.

So I bribed our bright young lad with our remote to get him to show off his new skill and then told him, "no," when he grabbed it. I know it's mean, but he was so cute! I will have to find a different tactic to get him moving, I think. I also quickly realized that the tray on the table has to go. Seriously, once Connor did the "walk" once, then twice, then ten times, he got so fast and grabbed anything in sight.

We have been steadfastly been urging Connor to feed himself "finger foods" such as Cheerios and other dissolvable delights. He finally did it yesterday all day long! It is hilarious watching him do this. He concentrates so hard to get that little bit of food in his mouth.

All in all, yesterday was quite the productive day for our little man. We are thrilled with all the new things he learns everyday, but also know that soon enough we are going to be chasing him all around the house and he is going to leave us very tired, but we can't wait! He fascinates us every single day and is the most amazing little being we have ever seen.

  1. I have done the same thing with the remote to "bribe" Alice to crawl!! Our shoes work too, she loves to go after shoes. Then I have to say "no" to her!

  4. Way to go, Connor!! You should combine his two talents and bribe him with Cheerios :) Jackson is always happy to be bribed with food!
