Shoes? What are those?
Mimi and Papa wanted to buy me shoes for my birthday, but the nice lady had to measure my feet first. She kept calling them "5- 1/2 wide". I thought they were called feet!
Mimi and Mommy picked out shoes for the nice lady to put on my feet. I didn't like it one bit!
Mommy asked the shoe lady if I could try a different pair. She was nice and said, "Yes!" I liked them the best. I even got to wear them home!
I eventually warmed up to the other pair, and Mimi and Papa bought me both! The best part was showing off my walking skills to the nice lady who gave me shoes:

Do I have big shoes to fill? Sure thing! But for now, if the shoe fits, wear it, and wear it good!
