May 9th, 2010: This date marked my first Mother's Day, and it was a fantastic day...
Reasons being:
#1: Sleeping in
#2: Waking up to an awesome egg and bacon breakfast made, with love, by Tommy
#3: Receiving a "Mother and Child" necklace from Connor
#4: Opening an amazing gift of a "Spa Retreat" at a local spa from Tommy Boy
#5: Reading gossip magazines out in the sun, peace, and quiet
#6: Celebrating the day with my Mom and Dad playing yard games
#7: Finishing the evening off with a yummy dinner at P.F. Chang's
#8: A big, wet "Goodnight" smooch from my little boy as he nodded off to sleep
Mother's Day may seem superfluous to some, but I thoroughly enjoyed being pampered by my husband and son. Any "holiday" that makes us slow down and relax for a day makes me smile and say "ahh..."
