Happy Birthday Connor!

Yes, it's a week late. Yes, I haven't been keeping up with the blog. Yes, I have been enjoying our early summer weather a little too much.

Too bad. So sad. Here's a blog now.

And, it's the best blog of all...It's Connor's birthday blog! And, as his favorite character, Moose A. Moose says,

Connor-12 Months

Grannie (Tom's Mom) came to visit for a couple of days, and was amazed at how toddler-esque Connor was already! I think the new skill that surprised her most was walking. He walks everywhere!

We had his party on the Sunday, May 23rd, two days before his real birthday. The party was mostly made up of adults, but Connor's friend, Alice, was there. She turned one just 11 days before him, and had lots to tell him about it!

His Mickey Mouse decorated birthday party was so much fun.

I even made him two cakes! Look at me go, huh? A regular Betty Crocker. Well, um, not so much. Here's how the cake originally looked. Notice some letters missing?

Our little guy did not like the cake very much, which is ok by me! At one point, I had to shove his hand in the cake, and Tom shoveled it in his mouth. He made a "it's too sweet" face and shuddered. Well, if my little boy wants fruit over cake, so be it!

We are very thankful to know that even though we are miles away from home, we are surrounded by positive and loving friends to share such special times with. Thank you everyone!
