One Week Old!

Connor was 1 week old yesterday, and what a week it was! Our stay at the hospital was very pleasant and we came home to a house filled with love. Both my parents and Tom's mom were here to help us out and greet the newest member of our family. 

We had our first weigh in on Friday and Connor actually lost a little bit of weight, so they asked us to go back yesterday and see how he did over the weekend. Well, we started to get the hang of this breastfeeding thing andhe gained 9 oz.! The doctor was very pleased and told us we could now start letting him let us know he's hungry at night. So, we did, and he slept 4 hours straight! That is great considering it was only 2 hours the past week. 

Connor also arrived just in time to celebrate his Mommy's birthday. Alden and Gail had a flight to catch at 6:00 tonight, so we had a birthday lunch, presents and cake. Obviously, Connor didn't know what was going on, but it was fun having him there to celebrate with us. He was the best birthday present I could ever have asked for!
